Why choose artificial grass?
Artificial grass is changing the traditional concept of the garden and offers more and more advantages over natural grass. It reduces water consumption, eliminates the cost of fertilizers, and avoids maintenance tasks such as mowing, scarifying, or aerating. It remains in excellent condition, without mud or dirt problems, and has a pleasant texture for walking or lying on. The savings in maintenance costs are considerable.
How do I choose the artificial grass I need?
Today the market is saturated with products of very different quality levels and origins, so you need to be careful when choosing artificial grass. At JadeJardi we always work with top European manufacturers and products with proper environmental certification, free from lead and cadmium. There are several factors that define the quality of artificial grass, such as the number of stitches per square meter, which determines density, and the thickness of the backing, which affects durability and strength. Fiber length is also important, as it should be chosen according to the intended use. At JadeJardi we know how to select the best product for you and your garden.
Does artificial grass require any maintenance?
Ideally, only minimal maintenance is required to keep it looking excellent over the years. A yearly visit to adjust the amount of silica sand and brush the fibers back into position is usually sufficient.
Is artificial grass easy to install?
To install artificial grass properly, the ground usually needs to be lowered by about 10 cm and then filled with compacted sauló to create a stable and permeable base with good drainage. A weed-control membrane is then laid to prevent unwanted growth. Once the surface is ready, the grass is positioned and carefully trimmed, which is the most delicate part of the process. The joins are glued with specific materials, and finally silica sand and steel nails are added for proper fixing. A final brushing lifts the fibers and gives the new lawn its best appearance.
