The original terrace was fully paved with grey tiles, which created a visually cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. The owners wanted to transform this outdoor area into a warmer and more pleasant space where they could relax and enjoy the open air without losing functionality.
The main objective of the project was to add texture, naturalness, and comfort to the whole area, creating different environments that would invite relaxation and everyday use of the terrace.
Before
The proposal focused on introducing materials and elements that would bring warmth and contrast with the existing paving. To achieve this, a large green area with artificial grass was designed, softening the look of the space and creating a more natural feeling.
In addition, a separate area was created at the back of the terrace, connected to the existing pergola, to incorporate a refreshing and functional feature that would complete the use of the outdoor space.
A large surface of artificial grass was installed, transforming the appearance of the terrace and creating a comfortable area for rest and everyday enjoyment.
At the back, an outdoor shower area was designed next to the pergola, accompanied by a decorative gravel section, creating a functional corner that was aesthetically integrated into the overall design.
The result is a much warmer and more balanced terrace, where the combination of materials and textures transforms a hard, cold space into a far more pleasant outdoor setting to enjoy all year round.
